March 13, 2010 - Hoot on the Hooch in Helen, GA
This is a fund raiser for the Foothills Chapter and the drawing for the Dream Trip winner will take place. Come and support the Foothills Chapter and have a good time.
April 6, 2010 - Chapter Meeting
The Gold Rush Chapter meets the first Tuesday of each month in the Ivie Lodge at beautiful Camp Glisson in Dahlonega, Georgia. Camp Glisson is just one and one-half miles north of Dahlonega on Camp Glisson directional sign is on the left 200 yards past Lumpkin County High School and across from Ace Hardware. Turn left onto Camp Glisson Road. It will bring you to the security gate in one-half mile. Continue about one-half mile past the gate through the camp to a bridge on your right. Cross the bridge and Ivie Lodge will be 100 yards on the left.
Program - Fly Casting on the stream. Meet below Cane Creek Falls at 6:30. Beginning and advanced techniques bring your rod. Dinner will be served after this session. Presenter: Various Gold Rush Chapter members
April 10, 2010 - Fly Fishing for Vets
Chattahoochee River NRA. This is the event that was postponed last November due to flooding. Volunteers are needed to help with our wounded service men and women.
April 12, 2010 - Board Meeting
Board Meeting starts at 6:30 PM at the American Legion behind Chick Filet in Dahlonega.
April 17, 2010 - River Clean Up
You may remember that TU National pushed for a "national river clean-up" day last June. Several chapters in GA participated with great success. This year TU National has selected two dates…April 17 and/or June 26…for a national river clean-up effort. Chapters are encouraged to work with other groups (scouts, schools, conservation groups, civic groups) to clean up a stretch of a local waterway (river or creek or lake). The idea is to clean up the waterway and to get some favorable publicity for TU and make some partnerships with others. I would encourage chapters to work with other TU chapters in this effort.

May 2010 - Chapter Meeting
Chapter Campout and fishing on the Chattooga River. Come enjoy the end of the Delayed Harvest Season on this outstanding stream. Dates and details to be announced.
May 14-15, 2010 - SE Rally in Townsend,TN (near the Great Smokey Mountain National Park)
This is a Friday-Saturday gathering of TUer's from GA, TN, NC, SC, and VA. The cost will be about $100/person for food and lodging and the Rally. The Council will be able to cover the cost for one person per chapter. The Rally is for anyone, especially leadership at the chapter and Council levels. Also, there will be a weekend long event called Troutfest going on in Townsend. It is sponsored by the Little River Chapter from TN.
June 1, 2010 - Chapter Meeting
Chapter cookout at Frog Hollow followed by a general discussion and opinions on anything about fishing. Some of which may actually be useful.
June 26, 2010 - River Clean Up
